A neat little record by the mysterious Abdulla (who is actually a swede). The first track constantly builds up with resurfacing melodies only to be buried by deep pulsating bass again and again, accentuated by sparse but effective hi-hats. Good tool! A2 is a way more pounding track, not wasting any time by punching the listener with deep kick stabs and growling bassline layers from the beginning, only changing every once in a while with acidic treatment of the main melody in the mid and last part.B, being the final cut closes on a somewhat relaxed note, using alot of echoes, and reverb effects. This is a slower, moodier track than the previous two, great for setting the mood for a dubby techno night.Overall: A good debut, definitely above average. If you can't get the vinyl you can also contact Abdulla on Facebook, he'll find a way to work things out with you (at least he did with me, which I am thankful for!).
