I dont know the answer - but i have a copy of this which i'm pretty sure IS NOT the 2011 bootleg, as it comes from a collection in which there is nothing newer than 2000. It doesnt have the same etchings as the stamped promo, but does have the same etchings as the bootleg.. eg.. RAMM 002A and RAMM 002B. confused.com!!

Silly prices, they really are, so look forward to these still being up for sale in years to come????
  • Dagdatus
Silly money for some good, but average tunes, not worth the money being asked on the original, should be paying between £20 and £60 not £250. So you are definately better off buying the unofficial release. My choice on the best made tunes on this and going by the videos below, is Losing U mix 1. A good all round tune. Secondly Eastern Promise mix 2 is definately the better mix of the 2 mixes.
  • Anayanis
tracks on my booty are on the opposite sides are they all the like that???
  • breakingthesystem
yeah - i think on the booty got the A and B sides reversed.
  • Zyangup
Does anybody know if the TP has the same etchings as the stamped promo version ?

Totally agree with Tonberry Kid's review below. To get an 'official' version of this release you looking at silly money. I purchased a copy of this bootleg for fifteen quid and the quality is nearly as good as the original. Unless you are an Idiot Savant, you won't be able to tell the difference lol. Track A1 is the tune that everyone remembers from 92'/93'. Caned by every DJ back then and rightly so. Do not underestimate the strength of the rest of this EP though. These four tracks along with Valley of the Shadows and Truly One are among Origin Unknown's best early releases. Top drawer. If you want a copy of this EP to just mix yourself, then this is the way to go. Collectors will prefer the original, but for a few quid you can put a classic EP in your box. Win, win.

Class sounding press this one

Andy c was 16 when he made this , his d,day is on the same day as mine 6/4/76 , how did find the funds to produce at that age I had safe for few weeks just to go to a rave in 1992 let alone have samplers, synths, drum machine, atria and dat recorders
  • Tekasa
Think it was Red One who had the studio at the time so he helped him out. The rest is history as they say.

Okay ..... I had 3 copies of this. It wasn't a 1993 record it was 1992 Seduction played it at Fatazia's NYE 92/93 event. Also as per Nigel it was going to be released on Deep Seven it just didn't happen. It came out when things were going all Dark and moody or Happy Hardcore and very tinny sounding. That's all folks ;)

The original is kind of beige on the label two versions one with red stamp one with the black both labels are obviously 20 year old off white (beige) don't get ripped off! I sold one on here and have seen both original versions. I talked to one of the guys who made this (Nigel) it was never going to be released on Ram in the first place but on another label Deep Seven. It never happened.

Yes mate the first lot were red stamp then black there are some red stamps about but I don't know exat numbers.
  • Ygglune
I've never seen a copy with a red stamp, are you sure?
  • FRAY
Be carefully between this and the bootleg, you don't want to pay £200 for a bootleg. The original is stamped and the bootleg has the same looking stamp but on a sticker.

High quality unofficial release at a greatly reduced price, i received my copy for a tenner (as opposed to hundreds) and i am very pleased, they won't be around long at that price, i would not have been too pleased paying much more. The quality is good, as with any bootleg not quite as clear as the original, but very close. Collectors won't be interested, but if, like me, you just want a good piece of vinyl to mix with, this is the way to go. Its a classic tune, and all four tracks are worth a listen, and are usable in the mix. For me track 1 on side A, THE classic i heard many a time in 92, on radio stations etc, and track 2 on the flip, superb. Eastern promise on a budget, all Win!

I agree - there are some terrible bootlegs around but this isn't one of them - very occasional light crackle - but the rest is strong and will certainly do the job.
  • NiceOne
mmmmmmmmmm a cheeky unofficial copy has circulated on the scene so for those of you a little hard up and desperate for a copy this one offers an affordable option and of superb sound quality but still not easy to obtain

By far the hardest to find 12 in the RAM catalogue, this unreleased EP has gone down as one of the rarest and most sought after records in Hardcore / Drum n Bass history. The reason for it not getting past the promo stage is unknown, but the most likely reason is probably a sample clearance issue. It is thought that no more than 250 copies were pressed, so when a copy comes up for sale now it commands vast sums of money with RAM collectors across the globe fighting to get their hands on a copy to complete their collections! Well worth tracking down, my personal favourite being the second track on the A side, but all four tracks are solid. This was the first and last truly Hardcore sounding release by Origin Unknown before they followed it up with the darkside masterpiece that made them a household name in dnb circles, The Touch / Valley of the Shadows.

You still got it? How much would you want for it?
  • Arcanefire
i have a copy of this tune if any one intrested

Those lovely sine bells, and the squeaky 'I just can't get over losing you'... Hardcore at it's most sublime. Classic twilight period '92 tune.
