Christ almight, Angel Street. Time might have its charms, but it can also be a darn curse. Given the age factor, this tune could have easily become the resident of bargain bins. Hold that thought. Fortunately, though, you perioducally run into people who go something like "take a look at this, it is bloody awesome!".The A side of this record is filed under one of those situations. What a track. Bewildering, bass driven percussion, and a God sent acid lead that could take the music anywhere it would ever want to go. Man, and then it goes on for twelve minutes. Now Luke Slater is up with the best of them, or better put, the best of them are up there with Luke Slater, but I can, my confidence being hung over, picture him going bananas in his studio once he heard the lead rip the cut.An all out classic assault containing all the elements that made it a peak hour ace up the sleeve back then, and those same ingredients make it a proper oldie goldie goodie today. Simply sublime. Driving, euphoric, pumping, focused. Techno at its finest, just like Luke Slater made it out to be.The remainder is just as fine, with the B2 cut being the abomination of the bunch, with its absolutely crooked and malevolent bass line. The outer B side cut is a flanging old schoold pounder with whistling acid beats and overlapping simple synth patterns. Absolutely balls in your face stuff across the B side.Man, this is a classic that will enable you to reach the outher rims of the solar system. I don't usually fancy hyping 1993 releases like they were on the daily menu, but this one shoved its way through. Luke Slater 25 years ago. Modern producers still taking a fatal blow. The end.

I Would say that this is a fine Slater Single,And all tracks are simply well created with every skills of that time. They are somewhat minimalist, but also have that powerful Acid Bassline that most Techno Fans like. The finest track on this for me is "Angel Street",A Really Hypnotic start, well made riffs through the middle, and a Simple but impactive percussion that goes through the track. Its worth of buying.

While the entire EP bespeaks quality Slater stuff, i'm particularly fond of "Power Plant." A deep and distorted aberration of a hard-edged minimal workout, with subtle, almost indiscernible acid lines that will penetrate your senses.
