My copy bought in the UK recently, is perfect. I gave myself the task of comparing my old edition, very well taken care of by the way, and I must say that all the bass and treble balances, are carefully respected as in the original. There are no background noises in my copy.

After two copies I finally have a copy that does not have a good amount of surface noise. I think this sounds good if you can’t pick up an original U.K. or Canada pressing. Just make sure you return any copy with surface noise.

Seriously? 2 copies purchased from amazon.fr and both warped. Mainly when side 1 is spinning....That should be the price to pay for finding records in supermarkets....

My copy of this reissue has both a dish warp and an edge warp, and there is loud surface noise throughout most of "Silent Hedges." Also, when comparing the sound between this and a US A&M pressing, the A&M has fuller and punchier bass, somewhat beefier midrange, and is a bit louder. The reissue sounds thinner, brighter, and tamer by comparison. So, not super thrilled about this pressing.
