There is a Polygram 'timepiece' USA Mercury retro red glowing logo text on black (lovely striking bar code etc)please note that this pressing is also 100% mono yet the label states stereo beware.

The Sleeve shown is NOT the correct one its the 2 year later 1st EMI Mercury Sleeve, despite the pressing being a contract one from EMI the sleeve would have been the sleeve issued by PYE for it's Mercury licenced releases (Mercury Record Corp naturally getting the bill from PYE for the pressings and the sleeves!)

As a point of interest please note that the UK pressing shown is in fact a contract pressing for PYE by EMI (Mercury were on their 2nd UK home the first being Oriole, they would leave PYE in 1959 and indeed go to EMI where they stayed untill Netherlands Philips came along and bought up the legendary Chicago label and company leaving EMI high and dry Philips had previously got under EMI's skin over USA Columbia Inc and the support and help given to DGG Heledor-Polydor.Clearly PYE were busy with Pet Clark/ Joan Regan/ Lonnie Donnighan and starting up PYE Int. To Worry about revenue from Mercury ah well.
