One of the best 1980s hardcore punk records. Pure venom and anger. Wise lyrics. First song sounds like a bomb blast going off! I'd describe them as the closest thing to an American version of Discharge. Great band, still powerful. Punks all over the world wear their logo on patches, shirts, jackets, buttons, etc in appreciation and to stand together.

I pretty sure this is also a English release (not French). Many it not most UK pressings where pressed in France. So they usually states Made in France, but are released in the UK.

Excellent record. Powerful vocals. Strong delivery. Love it. Some of the best US HC.

This is what I call a 5. Perfect record, beginning to end. Excellent playing, strong lyrics, nice packaging. (That cover image is iconic.) A lot of bands playing in this style just rewrite the same song over and over, but Crucifix wrote 14 different songs that work well together. "Dehumanization" is an all time favorite of mine, but oddly I feel that none of their other material is particularly good. "Capitulation" is weak and the vocals are annoying. "Nineteen-eighty-four" is middling at best. And then the band gets to "Dehumanization" and it is a total transformation to greatness. Of course this band gets many extra points for playing a style that very few bands in the USA played. Crucifix sounds (and looks) more like a U.K. band. Make that a U.K. band pumped full of U.S. hardcore adrenalin. "Dehumanization" is a mandatory piece of punk rock history. If you don't have it, you're missing out on something awesome. Fortunately it is still in print and is distributed by Southern Records.
