What i don't understand is the Unedited Version i have of "You Don't Know Me Fool" runs 5:32, so basically almost a full minute & a half longer then the "so-called" Raw Version on here. Can anyone confirm that the Version on here isn't clean? I KNOW 100% mine is Explicit. Maybe it's just shorter on here?
  • Domarivip
both reissues are straight trash. even though i bought em both.

Both promotional LPs (Raw & Ridin' Clean) have the same tracklistings.
  • DEAD-SHOT
I own a copy of this. It goes for insane amounts when it appears online and I paid a grip for mine a few years back. While it's FAR better sound quality-wise than the 2016 Get On Down abortion, it omits 4 tracks off the official tracklist to accommodate only a single LP.I can understand if you had to nix the intro and outro, but to exclude "High Life"off this album is a crime in and of itself. Sadly, a definitive edition simply does not exist at this time.

I don't have the Raw Version but I do however have the Dirty version of "You don't know me fool" which is pretty dope. I don't know anywhere else you can get it. My version isn't a rip from this vinyl though. Mine's literally from the vault.

An awful pressing, tbhThis is obviously sourced right from the CD, as the mix is super low and there is no depth. Absolutely not mastered for vinyl in any way. Also, the lyric sheet has lyrics for completely different songs not even on the album (or even by UGK themselves in several cases!). There have also been an abundance of people who have received warped vinyl packages, which tells you all you need to know about the pressing quality of this. Just an overall lazy, slapdash knockoff of the real thing. I paid $150 a few years back for my OG promo copy. While that's extremely pricey, it's really the only way to own this on vinyl for now. This reissue is nothing more than a frisbee in a sleeve.

I don't even understand how you can mess up that bad on the lyric sheet.....
  • Daron
A friend and I both purchased this recently, both our copies had ridiculously warped vinyl, anyone else experienced this?
  • Tuliancel
Mine is pretty warped too, though it doesn't seem to affect sound quality much, which overall is quite good, full sound. It may be mastered from CD (?) but it's dope nonetheless.
  • Ximathewi
My copy came out straight. Sorry to hear that
  • Mr_Jeйson
The GetOnDown release is as good as it gets for this album. Next up in line would be the ultra rare promo.
  • Dibei
Get On Down have just released a clear vinyl version of this classic
  • Frey
A Texas classic, is there a smoother beat than "diamonds and wood"? Sit back with a blunt, a 5th of hennessy, and soak up some game from the pimp! 5/5
