I admit, it starts a little weird. The Gap Band did it the same way with Early In The Morning and Burn Rubber. What a good idea to make the intro like this. It makes the record instantly different from others. Now, about this intro. It is so well done. First a synthesizer versus a piano. Then a high pitched bell versus a rhythm guitar. Snappy hand claps and bass kick in. Making it more rhythmic and funkier all the time. Along the way a steady cowbell keeps everything together. Your raw rapping vocals versus the children's voices. The bass gets real funky. At the end, a nice combination with your sweet piano play. This song emphasizes rhythm and has got the very soul of disco written all over it. What can i say. It makes me wanna move all the time. My foot starts tapping by itself. Your friend is right. It puts a smile on people's faces. I've read your interview in the Philadelphia Weekly and i would like to invite others to do so as well.Respect, Sir Frankie Smith!P.S. The 12" is so much better than the 7" or the LP version! I hope it will be on Youtube soon!
