This is a great bargain buy for fans of late 90s, speed era drum & bass! There's more of a Fabio tone here than Bukem, but we're talking pre-liquid Funk era Fabio. The Flytronix remix is a hypnotic bouncy stepper. It's got an early Big Bud feel to it with some PFM style synths trying hard to sit forward in the mix, but ultimately losing the battle to the drum line in the mixdown. The way he builds the track makes for a great ride though. I suspect Danny Flytronix's presence here means both his and the Peshay remixes were done pretty close together at the Alex Banks studio. The Peshay tune is indicative of his style at the time. It's based around that Alex Reece Flow remix break, with some horn work and well executed chords. Pads come in and out at opportune times to amazing effect, and the bassline torpedoes down through the mix to make this very much dance floor worthy. My only regret is that I waited this long to get my hands on it. I wanted to like the Alex Reece remix too but it comes up just a little short. One of the drum elements is out of tune with the rest of the song and it killed the experience for me. It's 95% awesome with that one little nagging thing.
