A year later, and still a hot track. As I sit right now its 90 degrees with the sun going down and a breeze coming in my front door and going out the window behind my home dj booth. I've been out in the sun all day so I'm quite happily tired. This record, specifically the A-side really hits the spot for moments like this. Those drums tick-tick-tock-tick-tik....they can go forever as far as I'm concerned. Shoulda made a 20 minute version so I didnt have to get up and rewind the needle. F&ckin Bomb record.

One of the hottest records around at the moment. Two epic, well built and orchestrated deep house gems on a tribal percussion tip. The original slowly adds up elements and is accompanied by a subtle, gentle female chant carried on the fragile wings of the moderate drums. Then, a little before the four minute mark, a heart tearing melody is dropped, and this track quickly becomes a pleasant-sounding water cooling blanket. From that point on, you've got yourself five minutes plus of gorgeous harmony and tiny micro melodic segments playing under the fore as the steady percussion keeps ticking away. I expect this one to be an after club anthem all across the coastal clubs during the entire summer. When the sun will be high up, I see no better tune than this one to do the trick. No crummy click clacks and meretricious Ableton minimal drums which wouldn't make my lazy dog wig his tail during his happy hour. This is pure rhythm, a ten minute breakless piece of house music, with more than just great groove, as the stuff delivered in the melody department uncovers an undisputable talent for composition and orchestral arrangements, if you want to call it that. Both tracks are very similar, and both retain all the elements which make this one so special and stand out above the rest. Let the needle drop on any given side, sit back and enjoy. I don't think I've heard anything as symphonic and addictive in this niche since Martin Buttrich's Full Clip. This is my first contact with Culoe De Song's music, and I must admit I am very impressed. He just entered a category of producers I will keep an eye on!

Ya I tend to agree with Maroko review. I also like the way the drums are punished, they make you feel like you should go down slowly and then up again in a similar fashion. The melody you referring to at about 4 minutes, it is also used in the bright forest, that melody adds an emotional part in a track, and it kills it. I like the way he crafts his records. Check his release on the same label late last year, titled Fallen Siren. You may want to check out his digital releases on www.afrodesiamp3.com. Also check African subway on Innervisions.
