Nice to have this on vinyl finally, but I've gotta say, the decision to cut the last track off pretty much entirely is disappointing. It's one of the best tracks on the album. I'd much rather have had a nice 2xLP pressing than a picture disc that is missing part of the album. Other than, it sounds good for a picture disc.

Herein lies the problem... Seems going for picture disc is about the looks. But it's what on the inside that counts. Cutting off Elbows Swangin and Southside was criminal. This shoulda been 2x lp for sure, to hell with picture disc.

I agree, bought this without knowing elbows swangin was cut off which is one of my favorite tracks on the tape. Still glad to have it, is probably the best looking 12 I have.

It sounds pretty damn good, all things considered. But fading out "Elbows Swangin" and especially the amazing "South Side" way early is just ridiculous. Still a worthwhile purchase for the price if you're a big Screw head.

Personally I don't care so much about it being a picture disc, I just wish they released it in an actual cardboard album cover to admire in all its glory... A gatefold woulda been awesome. Ah well... I guess having it on vinyl in itself is an accomplishment.

I heard that this thing is edited and not the full length version as issued on CD. Pretty stupid. The label should have at least mentioned it in the description.

I agree that it's almost there, BUT Elbow's Swanging is also faded out earlier than it should.

How is the sound quality on this? Does it just sound all digital-y (for lack of a better word), or is it good?

just got my copy yesterday. the only edit i noticed was on track 1, which ends early and echos out before going straight into "sailin da south". everything else seemed the same as on the original tape, unless i've missed something.

Oh no... This is really stupid! It's a stupid reference but you can count the tracks on the image and I count myself 5 tracks. So, you're damn right!

Copped mine a few month ago at a "Half Price Books & Records" for about $20, I was pretty dumb founded to see it there!

Official release date will be April 16, 2016 for Texas music stores, everywhere else May 6th, 2016. Joint venture between SoSouth & Bigtyme Recordz both here in Houston,TX.
