2 sales under this release should have been categorized under the newbury comics red vinyl release.

I purchased the regular 22.00 version of this 20th anniversary with the 180 gram and DMM.Now for the review. I have the original 1994 vinyl of this both from Minty Fresh. The packaging is top notch. The vinyl looked top notch when I took it out of the cardboard sleeve. Now with a record cloth to take off the dust off a vinyl before playing it is usually normal. But with this vinyl. I couldn't believe what was happening. The more I used the cloth scuffs and scratches began to appear all over. And I was a bit shocked. Then I went to play it. It ended up sounding like my 1994 LP copy. Crackles crackles and scratches all over during play. And they are there to stay. So everytime I go to play this obvious cheaply made vinyl from whatever pressing plant is just crap. So if anyone experiences this same incident. Be free to write to let everyone know about it. And the sound is different than the 1994 LP copy. More bottom end for sure. But it's better than that ol CD, but now with all these sound abnormalities. Because of a vinyl cloth. See if this happens to your new copy. Or just don't touch it just take it out and play it without doing a thing. Jeez unbelievable makes me sad. My old copy I spent 75.00 sealed and was the same thing but there were scratches already on it !!!!The one good thing that helps that it's a loud recording that in a way can cover a lot of the snap crackle pop.

I meant the original Minty Fresh US release. I hope the Caroline one sounds better though.
  • Vushura
When you say the original issue, you mean the Caroline press?
  • Grarana
Same thing on my reissue so I bought an original pressing brand new and unfortunately... you were right. It sounds like it has already been used before. Exactly like the reissue. I don't know what the hell is going on with that album.

Mine has a lot of surface noise issues too. I didn't use a cloth before playing though so it must be a shoddy job by the pressing plant. It's fine though I can at least listen to it.
