I just don't get the pricing of this album. Anybody wanting the best original space synth funk will need the song "M3000 (Opus VI)" in their collection. It is as simple as that.

One for the funkateers out there. Known as a Loft classic for it's spacey disco and electronica, but "Final Funk" is the stand out track if you ask me.

Yes, this guy was out there pathing the way for others and Final Funk is a solid tune but it's just a bit too Funkadelic/Bootsy sounding - preferred when he did his own thing and didn't copy others. Maybe because it was the first thing I heard by him (introduced to it by a old hippy I met one summer sunday afternoon and a naughty blunt in hand)...but his first LP and especially the Solar Opus will always be his best work.
