Fantastic album, probably the best UK hip hop of the decade. New Flesh always had something special about them, the combination of Part 2's production, Toastie's gruff vocal style and Aleem's conscious brummie flow, but this LP pushed the boundaries beyond anything that had gone before. Mixing digital roots, samba rhythms and analogue synths with lyrics which switch frantically between playful sex raps and deep metaphysics, the trio bring an experimental and intelligent take on music with a rough groove and beats unlike you'd hear on any other hip hop production.
