Dick Heckstall-Smith (16 september 1934 – 17 december 2004) was an English saxophonist, who played both jazz, blues and rock. He was known as a member of the rock band Colosseum.Are Heckstall-Smith as saxophonist of jazz rock band Colosseum (1968-1970). Heckstall-Smith was allowed to show his qualities, including the at the same time, playing two saxophones. Next comes Heckstall-Smith in the obscure circuit by most unknown bands such as Manchild, Sweet Pain, Big Chief, Tough Tenors Bluesblasters, Mainsqueeze and DHSS, The Famous. So occasionally appeared an album under his own name. In the years 1990-1999 came in the reunion circuit Coliseum going again and in 2001 he came in "Blues and Beyond" Mayall, Bruce, Taylor and Peter Green (ex John Mayall and Fleetwood Mac).
