THE PHONE is a minimal electropop project around some Jonni, Jacki, Steve and Diane, releasing this EP on Steve Lippert’s newly founded Attractive label in the UK. Discreet Affair sounds perfectly like Soft Cell anno 1980, and - DJs read carefully - will make the people shake their bodies on your dancefloor for sure! The Phone comes along with familiar Casio VL-1 sounds and rhythms, and samples around the topic - guess what - phone, ya, and it’s also made to keep your legs in motion! And then there’s Discreet Dub which sounds like Einstuerzende Neubauten on a weird minimal electro/C64 trip. All tracks are fueled with lots of analogue synth and percussion sounds, great effects, some familiar sounds and a cool male voice. The sleeve comes in a do-it-yourself manner.
