What was the rrp on this boxset? Just purchased 1 for £139.99 inc postage guessing that’s not much more than what it would have been new anyway :-)

I think it was originally around £105 on Amazon UK (I paid less bcos I'm in the US so no VAT to ship to me). Interestingly the standard black actually costs some £20 more

Bummer, but glad to hear this is merely a digital duplication before splurging all that money. Guess I'll hold off for something better and stick to Spotify in the meantime. :/

Read this article and it sounds to me like they've taken the digitally indexed copy of the album straight to wax, because that's sort of how the Spotify version is mastered without fades etc.

From the Super Deluxe Edition website: "Fans had noted and complained about the sound at the end of the sides, because instead of fading out, they were hearing the start of the next track. So for example at the end of ‘No Tomorrow’ (which finishes Side A) you can hear a bit of ‘Pale Snow’ (which is the start of Side B). Are these GZ pressings, similar to the previous Suede vinyl box? If they have a stamped matrix in the runout, finishing /A and /B, it’s a yes.

Very nice looking but the quality is pretty shoddy for such a nicely presented set, Several thorough cleans were required. The worst are the first two albums, so full of pops and crackles and not great pressings either, Along with the pressing error that hopefully will get remedied its pretty disappointing all round.

Have to agree- nice looking but poorly done. None of the pressings are great even despite multiple cleanings on my Hannl RCM. I'm writing the label-- they should be able to do better than this. Pressing anything at GZ Media is at best hit and miss with the odds overwhelmingly stacked against you getting a clean copy of anything they press. They produce poor quality products consistently and don't care-- obviously-- given how long they've been doing it.

fantastic boxset with LPs in beautiful colors that match album artwork. haven't played any of the records but agree with kuma's comment below regarding cleaning. bloodsports actually in translucent red while the blue for night thoughts is actually several shades darker than it appears in the stock photo.

Sad to see this one is being flipped already... If you do play it you might find you need to give these a bit of a clean first, seems to be pretty common with Demon Music's product.
