With this record Sean Deason aka Freq built a masterpiece in electronic music. He is the man who ever left behind the big names of detroit. Also his own label Matrix Rec. didn't got the acknowledgement that would be suitable. This record would be better placed on a big label like WARP or R&S and should got the status of an album not only a double ep on his little label. Then this record and its artist had made a jump into the very first league of detroit techno, I believe. Deason recorded slow and moody tracks just as fast and strong moovers. But he never left the way of this typically detroit flavour. So it's no surprise that it sounds a little like every one of his homies Stacey Pullen, Kenny Larkin and Carl Craig.
