The Black Angels - Death Song flac mp3 download

My copy had bit of static noise coming out of the right channel, mostly on Side A. I gave it a clean and although it's still there, it's muted. Not noticable on speakers but can be a little annoying with headphones. Apaprt from that, fantastic packaging and presentation and tunes are sweet.

I desperately wanted this glow in the dark RSD version and stood in line for hours on RSD but didn't get one. I did pick up the standard black vinyl, but it also has a lot of surface noise...most notably Side 1 of Disc 1 there is a crackle when it hits a certain spot of the rotation.Even after cleaning there really was not much improvement. Likely it is the production of all the vinyl from this release all the way around. Previous Vinyl that I have from The Black Angels is excellent, so this was a real disappointment from Partisan Records. I love the album, but pretty much listen digitally because listening to the vinyl is just irritating.

Well, dude...at least you saved yourself a few bucks then. The surface noise on the glow-in-the-dark version is pretty fucking bad. Even playing it with a new stylus after a thorough cleaning with my Record Doctor V, the noise never left. Pretty bummed about it, because I do like this new album but it pains me to play it on my turntable. That said, the glows are notorious for issues like excess surface noise so I kind of knew it was a gamble. The house got me on that one!

I had bought an LP in the past pressed on glow in the dark vinyl, and it was very noisy, meaning high noise floor, the pressed music sounds fine when on decent sound levels but at quite passages one can notice the higher noise floor on such pressings. It is the same with certain other coloured types of vinyl as well. For example I once sold a copy of an Earth LP re-release which was on orange vinyl, and bought the black version, which was not noisy at all (noise floor level). Black vinyl sounds always the best.

Amazing album, bad pressing. First track of the C side begins with cracking sounds and the D side is off center. Don't know if to ask for a new copy, maybe I will get a worst copy that the one I have.

What exactly is this? Unofficial release in a jewel case, just for Russia?

If you want a replacement for the LP's themselves, contact Rainbo directly. They literally just started repressing to fill more orders. Having just contacted them I was told they haven't received any complaints about sound quality/playback issues and they don't know about people's problems with these pressings and obviously the label is not going to contact them because pressing plants don't accept returns. The more direct feedback Rainbo receives, the more effort they will put into fixing QC problems.

New copy arrived.... same problem ... sad... don't understand how can you produce this kind of shit...

If you are using an elliptical diamond the black vinyl will be mostly listenable occasional static but with a microline it will be nearly intolerable with a consistently time swoosh/static in the right channel on both sides with each rotation. I simply don't understand why they think it's cool to keep sticking their fans with substandard vinyl. Either get serious about vinyl quality or stick to CD's & mp3's because it's a disservice to the people that actually pay money to hear their music.

Great album. Interesting glow in the dark option, but yes, noisy as all hell. Only noticeable in the quite sections. Looking for an audiophile release look elsewhere. Interested in something different then it's a cool addition to a collection.

As others have mentioned, side A is pretty much unbearable. Pops and scratches through the whole side...

Anybody else get a fully autographed copy from Recordstore? Don't see a listing for this version?

My black vinyl version has constant pops in the right channel. It's awful because the album is jaw droppingly good.

Just got a copy on black vinyl. It sounds great, no issues with noise and the songs are awesome.

The black version is plagued with pressing problems that are normal for Rainbo. Have gone through 3 copies and all plagued with the same issue. Mostly right channel, non fill noise on Side A. Side D on all copies were horribly off center too

Awesome album , it`s sounds really good , as a 180 g vinyl should sound like .Really happy to get it on record stoere day ..

No noticeable noise issues here. Must have caught a fresh one! Sounds wonderful via my Ortofon 2m red cart, Pro-Ject tt, Kenwood KR-4600 and JBL Primas! Beautiful. A keeper.

Their best since Passover.I don't believe in buying or the manufacturing of colored vinyl for the sake of the colored vinyl. However, if it fits the aesthetic and there is care put into the production then it can be a bonus. This edition is well done. I was not expecting the sound quality to be the most desirable, butI am pleasantly surprised. Mine has some surface noise on the start of each disc, but other than that there is very little throughout the rest of the album.

The surface noise on my copy is practically impossible to hear except very minimally between tracks. If that bothers you, buy a cheap CD or black vinyl version in addition to this spectacular pressing. If you give your record a good cleaning, you'll be fine. Exceptional release. Amazing artwork and trippy tunes. This is a fantastic package well worth the (inflated) cost.

Lot of surface noise as well here. But worth every penny because of the beautiful cover, poster, sticker and art in general. Beautiful stuff.

As most have already commented, the surface noise on this glow in the dark pressing is pretty present and obnoxious. I'd recommend purchase of this album only for the novelty factor (glow in the dark, ltd, rsd etc). Album is solid otherwise, and I'll be picking up a standard copy for my main spins.

I have had a few Glowers in my day, Gorilla Biscuit's Start Today comes to mind. they are little more than eye candy.
