It's actually the controversy regarding the vinyl release among Vektroid and OESB themselves, if samples were an issue almost all vaporwave releases would be off sale!

The back of the cassette is not blank. It has the same pink/white checker board pattern as the A side.

could you ask him what the back of the tape looks like? maybe he could send you a pic and you could describe it or something?

There is a bootleg edition of this cassette. I forget how many copies were pressed but it was very distinct from the original, authentic release. The inside of the j-card is different and I believe the cassette shell may be different. Please ask for photos before buying, especially when dropping such large amounts of money.

The case had a pink part on it, instead of being 100% clear like the original.

People who are actually willing to pay these absurd prices are the ones driving it up. This tape really has gotten a massive following in recent months, but it simply isn't worth the amounts it's being sold for. Back when I was still trying to get this tape I would have never paid over $150 tops.
